How the test works

1. 120 statements about you. They come from the Mini-IPIP, a published, public-domain personality questionnaire (Donnellan et al., 2006), rewritten in plain words. For each one, you pick one answer out of five.
2. 25 questions about your life. The animal you picture, your home, how long it would be alone, how much you go out, and your experience with animals.
3. 3Your profile out of eight. Three traits decide it: your social energy, your attention to others and your organisation.
4. 43 animals for your life, with their reasons. A fixed calculation picks them: the same answers always give the same animals. No artificial intelligence decides.

Your answers are not saved: the calculation runs on your phone.

What the test does not say

• It does not pick a species from your personality. Research shows personality predicts very poorly which animal suits someone. The three animals come first from your life: your home, the time alone, your outings, your experience.
• Your personality matters for something else: how you will look after an animal, how regular the care is, and how closely you watch the signs it shows.
• It does not promise the perfect animal. It gives you three leads and their reasons; the decision stays yours.
• It does not compare you with others. No percentage is shown: no published norm applies to the Moroccan population.
