Health: what is documented for the breed
An inherited disease specific to the breed, dental-skeletal-retinal anomaly (DSRA), causes brittle, discoloured teeth, disproportionate growth and progressive loss of sight; it is inherited recessively and its gene is known (MIA3): ask whether the parents were tested. Like any dog of this size, it needs monitored growth and a controlled weight.
